Stay connected. Stay involved. Stay sober.
Niznik Behavioral Health knows that addiction recovery is a lifelong journey. We are dedicated to continuing to support our clients on this path even beyond the completion of addiction treatment. As part of our nationwide recovery family, our alumni have access to our full repertoire of relapse prevention resources as well as community events, group therapy and support, and alumni counseling services.
The recovery process doesn’t end with successful completion of a rehab program. While comprehensive addiction treatment at a Niznik Behavioral Health facility helps to build a strong foundation for a sober future, assuming the healing process is done upon discharge is a dangerous mindset. Choosing to forego continued care after detox or inpatient treatment leaves you vulnerable and much more likely to relapse than those who follow the full continuum of treatment.
Addiction recovery is a lifelong commitment to prioritizing your sobriety, mental health and sobriety. Staying connected to your treatment family and support system along that journey helps to keep you focused, accountable, and on the right path.
While your walk through life is uniquely your own, knowing that people who understand are walking alongside you is motivating and creates a bond unlike any other. Your peers in sobriety and recovery team are here to celebrate each milestone and victory and lift you back up if you stumble.
Through recovery all things are possible.
Staying connected with a strong network of sober friends is one of the healthiest things you can do in recovery. You’ll find a built-in network of people who understand exactly what you’ve been through. And here’s a little secret: People in recovery like to have fun. A lot of fun, in fact.
Whether you graduated two years ago or two hours ago, you’re part of the family. And we can’t wait to see you! Our alumni are diverse, interesting, adventurous — and are great listeners. There are so many activities and options, including:
One of the most important parts of recovery is service to others — and getting involved with our alumni group will give you the chance to share your journey and experience with others, especially those in early recovery. We also welcome you to visit with our current clients and provide mentorship, so they can learn what’s working for you. Just give us a call at 855-394-0777, and we’ll find a good time for you to visit us.
Another great option is to speak with prospective clients — or their loved ones. It’s an opportunity to let them know what they can expect from their time at a Niznik Behavioral Health center, and reassure them that sobriety isn’t the end of the road; it’s a whole new beginning. If you’d like to be an alumni ambassador for us, please let us know. We’d love to have your help!
As an alumni of a Niznik Behavioral Health treatment facility all clients have access to:
As part of Niznik Behavioral Health alumni family, you never have to feel alone in sobriety. We’re right there with you.
Remember how you felt when you first came to our rehab center? Maybe you were unsure and didn’t quite know what to expect. Maybe you were frustrated that you even had to be in rehab. Maybe you were relieved to finally get the help you needed. Or maybe, like most of us, you felt a little bit of all of the above.
We’re so proud of you — and all that you’ve accomplished in your time at Niznik Behavioral Health. And the best is yet to come! Recovery doesn’t stop when you leave our facility … or earn your six-month chip … or celebrate 20 years sober. It’s a journey of a lifetime. And with support from our alumni family, you always have friends by your side on that journey.
One of the best things about being an alum is that you never have to feel alone again. We provide aftercare services to help prevent relapse. If you find yourself struggling for any reason, the Niznik Behavioral Health community is here to support you — and help you maintain your sobriety and recovery. Stay connected with us. And if you ever need us, we’re only a phone call away.
